During our storytime, stretch & sing classes we spend time together reading interactive stories, sing plenty of songs & rhymes, practise baby yoga movement and stretches, enjoy sensory experiences & explore heuristic treasure baskets with your baby. A full sensory experience designed with your babies mental & physical development in mind. Hot drinks and home made cake is provided for parents.

Why Stories, singing, stretches and heuristic play?
Books are a fantastic way to begin to teach your baby about communication and language skills, begin a love of books as a baby to last a lifetime. Listening to words helps to build a network of words in babies brain, it also helps to grows their emotional and social development as well a great bonding experience for parent and baby.
The rhythm and rhyme of songs and rhymes is another great language development tool. As well as a host of other benefits for parent and baby including supporting your mental health by releasing oxytocin and endorphines the feel good hormones.
Heuristic items are not classic baby toys, they are made from natural resources and not plastic. They provide baby with a rich sensory experience through sucking, handling and putting items in their mouths. By doing this they are also learning about weight, size, shape, texture, sound and smell.
This class is now run as a 6 week term for babies 3months-crawling at Badgeworth Village Hall, Badgeworth Lane, Cheltenham, GL51 4UW situated between Cheltenham and Gloucester which has a free car park (opposite), pushchair parking and great facilities. Six week course £54 including hot drink and home made cake. Pre-booking is essential.
