Starting your baby on solid foods can be an exciting but daunting time for many parents. With an array of information available it can leave parents with many questions: What age to start weaning? What method of weaning to use? Is home cooked food better for baby? How to know if your baby is ready for solids? What if they choke? What is baby led weaning? How to puree baby food? Our workshop aims to answer your questions with evidence-based information and simple advice with a focus on your individual baby’s needs.

Our weaning workshops follow NHS guidelines and aim to leave you feeling confident and excited about this next step with the knowledge that you cannot get it wrong. We do not tell you how or when to feed your baby but equip you with up to date information ready to start or continue your weaning journey.

What previous parents say about the course

I really enjoyed the weaning workshop today. It was our first workshop and my first time attending Nurturing Beginnings. I’d heard good things about Sarah and NB, so I was really looking forward to coming. Sarah was very attentive and thorough. She didn’t rush through anything and gave us time to engage and ask questions, which is important. I didn’t know what to expect for the course but Sarah answered all our questions and covered things that I would never have even considered. I have signed up to 6 weeks in January, so now I’m extra excited to coming, as this was a nice little taster as to what’s coming. I would recommend Sarah and NB to others thinking of signing up.
